If you are thinking about doing volunteer work to get some practical experience to supplement your studying or simply you wish to spend a certain period living a special experience in a reality far away from your daily routine, we in TZIVA would like to invite you to join us either as volunteer or for an internship.
TZIVA is a small volunteer organization created since 2007 by the shared ambition of few local people to provide technical, educational, and hands-on volunteer support to grassroots community projects on the island of Zanzibar, Tanzania, to improve living conditions of its inhabitants.
One of the biggest assets of the association is to be completely operated by a local staff, which enables TZIVA to meet almost everyone's interest by co-operating with other NGOs and local communities.
Its goal is to promote the culture and heritage of this beautiful country and to help the poorest residents in developing the skills and resources they need to achieve a healthy lifestyle and sustainable livelihood.
Services are provided to all people, regardless of gender, age, tribe, ethnicity, disability or religion.
This organization is working under its constitution and is registered under the Societies Act with registration no 551 October 2007, Law of Zanzibar no 6/1995.
The Association aims to build capacity among Zanzibar's poorest residents, as well as to protect the beautiful natural resources of the island in a sustainable way. The goal is to improve the life conditions of the most vulnerable inhabitants by conducting different programs through the placement of skilled foreign volunteers and the provision of technical support and assistance to other NGOs, Community Organizations and grassroots groups pursuing compatible goals. <
