    You will receive a confirmation of your tax deductible
    donation directly from Philanthropic Ventures Foundation
    (PVF).   PVF  is a 501(c)(3) public charity  dedicated to
    expanding philanthropy and to working with donors to
    maximize the impact of their charitable giving. PVF will
    receive the funds, assign them to the Generosity in Action
    account and provide a receipt confirming that the donation
    is tax-deductible. PVF charges us only 2% for

What is Generosity in Action?

Generosity in Action, a project of the
Philanthropic Ventures Foundation,  
is a charitable organization that
allows you to contribute to worthwhile
projects overseas and receive
confirmation that the donation is tax-
deductible in the United States.   
They accept the task of monitoring
and working with local tour
operators, guides and project
organizers to be assured that the
program is truly beneficial to the
community. They insist there be a
mechanism to verify that any project
they support is completed.

    Friends who wish to make a contribution to TZIVA or one of our partner
    projects can make a  donation through our U.S. sponsor, Generosity in
    Action.   Your donations go directly to the project and are used to
    purchase basic resources (e.g.,  computers, water-testing supplies,
    craft materials, etc. ) and help pay for local project staff. Donations
    made through Generosity in Action are tax-deductible for U.S. residents.

Note: Once at PVF/Donate page, locate the section "Designated
Funds" - click the button for "Generosity in Action"  and specifiy TZIVA
in the text box.  If you want your donation to go to one of our project
partner or to be used for a particular purpose, please specify this in the
space provided as well  (e.g. TZIVA/computer training or TZIVA/Lasso
Kirua) and we will follow your wishes. Otherwise, we will use your
donation where it is most needed.   Note that there is a 3%
administrative fee for internet transactions
